The problem with ornamental ponds
Ornamental ponds usually have a shallow water depth and a large water surface, which can lead to strong microbiological growth, e.g. of algae. Often, such ornamental ponds are home to sensitive and high-value fish. Therefore, chemical methods to kill microbiology are not possible. However, excessive growth of bio life in the water (algae growth, etc.) deprives the fish of their necessities of life.
