The problem with swimming pools
Many countries have strict regulations for water quality in swimming pools to protect bathers. High microbiological requirements are set to ensure this. Typically, chlorine is used to destroy bacterias. In many countries, a concentration of free chlorine in the pool water is specified in public swimming pools. The correct amount depends on a number of factors such as water quality, number of swimmers in the water, water temperature, efficiency of the treatment system and sunlight exposure, because chlorine degrades more easily under UV radiation. Such parameters and some others must be taken into account when dosing chlorine.
If chlorine levels are too high, perspiration, skin and other organic compounds can react with chlorine to produce harmful vapors that cause irritation to the eyes, skin and respiratory system. Therefore, proper chlorine dosage is so important to avoid "over chlorination".
Advantages of the HP-System
Effective reduction of viruses, algae, germs and bacteria (Legionella)
Removal of existing and prevention of new biofilm
Lower operating costs, e.g. reduction of biocides and cleaning costs
Increased safety for employees and the company and population (VDI Guideline 2047-2)
Shock chlorination may be reduced and active carbon filters may be used longer
Chlorine in the pool water can be reduced to a minimum
More comfortable, trouble-free and healthier swimming and bathing experience
Reduction of contaminated wastewater
Very low maintenance effort and costs
